The Twelve Roses

The first rose is Life,

beautiful and meant to be enjoyed.

 

The second rose is Companionship,

adding to the beauty of life with whom everything is shared.

 

The third rose is Hope,

the faith that the beauty in life now found will not fade.

 

The fourth rose is Grace,

that which is more than what could ever be hoped for.

 

The fifth rose is Gentleness,

learned in life, found in companionship, nurtured by hope and given by grace.

 

The sixth rose is Tenderness,

the gentleness portrayed to another.

 

The seventh rose is Caring,

the tenderness given to another.

 

The eighth rose is Compassion,

the tender grace given by someone caring and gentle.

 

The ninth rose is Warmth,

the intensity given to tenderness, caring and compassion.

 

The tenth rose is Happiness,

that warming knowledge of life graced with companionship, hope, gentleness, tenderness, caring and compassion.

 

The eleventh rose is Joy,

the result of happiness filling life.

 

The twelfth rose is Passion,

the zeal for life at its fullest.

 

The Twelve Roses are Love,

the ultimate expression of life in its fullest.
